Selby Botanical Gardens

I you are visiting Sarasota, I highly recommend a visit to the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. We arrived late in the day so I did not have as much time as I would have liked to explore the seven acres of epiphytes, bromeliads and orchids. What I did see of the Texaco Oil founders 1920's estate was quite exquisite.

How beautiful! I have an affinity for moss-covered trees. I would spend a week there if I could. And your outfit is perfect. I love that blouse. Perfect for those humid Florida days. :)

Thanks Natalie, I love this blouse too! It's a vintage rayon block print from "India Imports of Rhode Island" a boutique designer with a local cult following in the late sixties and seventies. You can tell they are a contemporary of gunny sax, a similar silhouette, only exchanging indian textiles for calico.

I'm with you walking under those moss covered trees while wearing silky Indian outfits. If we close our eyes...we are there.
