These pictures were taken on my last ramble through the woods before leaving home, two weeks ago. Woodland brambles tipped with red are one of Maryland's earliest signs of spring awakening. It makes me happy to think these buds will become raspberries and roses by the time I return.

The furry red raspberry canes are glowing with growth! Great shot!
The halo on branches look electric with new life! Don't you love all the hints of spring! They give us northerners hope! Can you discern any seasonal changes in St. Lucie Florida? (lucky lucky you!) We consider it's warm because there isn't ice early morning now.
Cold is a relative term!
Geeez,,, you aren't missing much. The raspberries almost look the same but the wild roses have "little tiny greeeeen leaves".
But the good news is that your violets are starting to celebrate spring!!!
